Open Air Bounce: Weather forces attraction to close

Open Air Bounce, based on Umberton Farm in Over Hulton, had planned to open from Good Friday - with the attraction set to feature the 'largest inflatable in the country', according to owner Leighton Mills[1] - throughout the Easter break. Sign up to our newsletters to get the latest stories sent straight to your inbox.[2] Despite selling out its sessions on Good Friday[3], the attraction was forced to close due to weather, saying opening was 'just not safe enough'.

The attraction was able to open on March 31, or Easter Sunday, but then again had to close - with rain causing muddy ground conditions. However, the park was forced to close the next day, and has remained closed ever since. On Facebook, the attraction has shared its 'extreme frustration' - saying it has now chosen to keep the park closed until Friday, April 12, at least, to allow the farm field to dry out.

The organisation added that those with a booking on cancelled dates would be given a voucher code to re-book their sessions. Open Air Bounce sessions are available to book on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14. Those looking to book a session can do so through Open Air Bounce's website.[8] Anyone aged under 16 looking to join the fun must be accompanied by an adult.

Those aged under 12 months go free, with tickets for children aged from one to three costing GBP9.95. Those aged four and above, including adults, can access the inflatables for GBP12.95. Non-bounce admission costs GBP2.50.

Tickets give bouncers access to the park for two-and-a-half hours of fun. The park is set to have 15 different inflatables, including bouncy castles, slides, obstacle and assault courses. Umberton Farm is located near the M61 motorway, and is served by the 20 and 521 bus routes.
